🎯 Driving Phala's 2026 Core Dump
Phala is set to fully pivot to a GPU TEE Cloud in early 2026, focusing on meeting real-world TEE demands, such as Privacy AI Infrastructure, confidential compute for enterprise, and secure data exchange.
This transition involves decommissioning their current Polkadot parachain in favor of their own Layer 2 (L2) and a brand new infrastructure. DePHY will power the staking, node metering, and billing system for Phala’s next-generation TEE Cloud.
🤖 L2 Bootstrapping: TEE Meets DePHY Mainnet
Leveraging the federated decentralization of the DePHY Message Network, a dedicated DePHY subnet will be deployed to function as Phala Network’s L2. This setup ensures that Phala’s TEE cloud is secured by both TEE hardware and the DePHY mainnet.
